Once you complete the international student admission process by submitting the fees, completed forms, and the required documents to the International Student Office, you will be admitted to Harper College. A new, initial status Form I-20 will be issued as follows:
- new students in their home countries who must schedule an appointment with the closest U.S. embassy for a visa interview
- students in the United States with a valid non-immigrant status must request a change of non-immigrant status to F1 student status
New students already in F-1 status in the United States must contact their current school to request that their SEVIS record be transferred to Harper College,School Code CHI214F0071000. Once the SEVIS record is received by Harper College, a transfer Form I-20 will be issued.
**Harper College is not authorized to issue a Form I-20 for the following programs: Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Cardiac or Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or Paramedic.
