English Placement Test with Honorlock

Before you test, make sure you have the right technology and test materials.

In order to take the English Placement test with Honorlock, students will need ALL of the following: 

• A desktop computer, laptop computer or Chromebook (tablets and smartphones will not work)
• A webcam
• Stable internet connection
• Google Chrome web browser 
• HonorLock’s Google Chrome extension
• A valid photo ID
• A testing area free of distractions and testing aides. Nothing is allowed on the test. 

Ready to test? Follow These Directions

1. Login to your "Credit" Blackboard Account. To login, use the same credentials you use to access your MyHarper Student Portal. 

2. On the left side of your Blackboard homepage, click Courses.

3. In the top left corner, click Course Catalog.

4. Type "Online English" in the Course search box.

5. Under Course ID, navigate to the Online English Placement Test link to reveal a downward pointing arrow. Click that arrow and click Enroll.

6. Click Submit in the lower right corner.

7. Click Ok in the lower right corner.

8. Click Launch ENGLISH TEST on the right side of the page.

9. Click Begin Your Test With Honorlock

10. You'll be prompted to show your photo ID and a scan of your workspace using your webcam.

11. Follow the instructions in the blue Honorlock pop-up box.
