International Baccalaureate
The International Baccalaureate Program is offered only in high school.
Credit and placement will be awarded to students with adequate International Baccalaureate
(IB) examination scores in areas comparable to the Harper curriculum. The granting
of credit and/or advanced placement will be determined following the guidelines listed
in the Credit by Examination chart.
Follow these steps for the IB Program:
- Step 1. Apply to the College.
- Step 2. Acquire an official IB transcript online through the IB website. If your score report needs to be sent through the mail, please have the report addressed
to:
Harper College
Attn: Testing Center; Building A, Room A148
1200 W. Algonquin Rd.
Palatine, IL 60067
- Step 3. Once the official transcript is received by the College, course credits will automatically
be applied based on the standards of the International Baccalaureate Guidelines below.
IB Exams, whether passed or not, do not affect a student's grade point average.
