Trish Marasigan joined Harper Wellness in January 2026. As the Program Assistant, Trish supports the planning and execution of Harper Wellness’s events and initiatives.

Trish is a “double Illini”, having received a BS in Information Sciences as well as a Master’s in Human Resources and Industrial Relations in May 2024 and December 2025, respectively, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As an undergraduate student, Trish served as a campus Wellness Ambassador during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Operating out of the public affairs department, Trish gained experience in partnering with a variety of campus leaders to advocate for diverse student concerns, tailor wellness messaging, and manage the logistics of high-volume events. Throughout both undergraduate and graduate studies, Trish also gained higher education experience as a career advisor at Illinois’s Grainger College of Engineering, Gies College of Business, and College of Media. In these positions, Trish worked directly with students and industry partners, bridging students’ professional development and employer needs.

Throughout undergraduate, Trish was also very involved with Illinois Business Consulting, the nation’s largest and oldest student-run, fee-based consultancy, where she was promoted twice to the role of Project Manager. Being a Project Manager strengthened her skills in overseeing diverse teams and solving complex business issues. She takes pride in consistently positive feedback on creating a psychologically safe team environment. Before joining Harper Wellness, Trish also worked as an HR Intern at General Mills, Inc. She supported the R&D function, managing projects to enhance the early career development program, and to inventory the global function's culture efforts. This experience bolstered her people-first approach to organizational problem-solving. Now, Trish is excited to bring her project management expertise back to higher education as a Harper Hawk!

In her free time, Trish enjoys dancing (mostly ballet and contemporary), thrifting, lifting, live music, and traveling to find the best matcha, seafood, and barbeque.

Akbiike Ysaeva is an international student from Kyrgyzstan studying Computer Science at Harper College. She speaks six languages and has always been inspired by the idea of creating something of her own, which is why she chose a path in technology and innovation.

In her free time, Akbiike enjoys exploring new experiences, staying active through different sports, and capturing meaningful moments with her camera. She values creativity, connection, and the opportunity to learn from people of different backgrounds. An interesting fact about her is that she has been part of student government since school and she loves climbing mountains.

Akbiike is excited to be part of the Harper Wellness Team and looks forward to contributing her energy, positivity, and passion for student well-being to the community.
