Harper College will be closed Wednesday, November 27 through Sunday, December 1 for Thanksgiving Break.
Harper College has three large open labs that are staffed to assist students with logging on and off, accessing specific programs and printing their work. Labs are open to all currently enrolled Harper students. Online/Distance Learning students are welcome to use these labs. See Computer Labs for more information and lab hours.
I223 MEGA LAB WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
NO CIS-STUDENT SUPPORT ASSISTANTS ON DUTY.
Additional assistance from certified CIS-Student Support Assistants is available on a walk-in only basis in the 'I' Mega Lab (left corner of the Mega Lab) to help students registered in CIS, CAS and NET with current coursework challenges.
This is not tutoring. This is immediate, course-specific support.
Select the corresponding link below for the current semester schedule.
The CIS Student Support Assistant (CIS-SSA) schedule can be viewed above, online and on the bulletin board outside the I223 Mega Lab.
Important: Please keep in mind the above schedules may not reflect last minute changes. If you are making a special trip for assistance, be sure to call the number below AND speak with a CIS-SSA to ensure support is available during your planned visit. When you call please pay close attention to the phone message at X2856. If a CIS-SSA is not on duty you will receive a recorded message.
Only make a special trip to utilize CIS-SSA staff, AFTER you have actually spoken
with a CIS-SSA ON DUTY.
Testing Guidelines:
If you are coming to the lab to take a test, you must BEGIN your test at least 1 hour
prior to the end of the CIS-Support Assistant's shift AND complete the test by the
end of the CIS-Support Assistants shift.
NOTE: NO TESTS WILL BE ADMINISTERED ONE HOUR or less BEFORE THE CIS-SSA END OF SHIFT.
Students understand they must complete all testing by the end of the CIS-SSA shift. Students coming to the lab to take a test, exam or final should discuss time constraints with the CIS-SSA on duty before beginning an exam.
In extreme cases only, we offer appointments for TESTING ONLY. To inquire about current
testing available, contact the Testing Center at 847.925.6541.
Students looking for tutoring during finals weeks’ should contact the Tutoring Center at 847.925.6539 for appointment availability.
