A place to honor your faith!  

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’s Interfaith Prayer Room is available to Harper students, faculty and staff to accommodate diverse faith traditions and spiritual needs.

This private room can be used for quiet worship, prayer, meditation and reflection. The doors to the Interfaith Prayer Room are opened and closed daily. The Interfaith Prayer Room hours are as follows for Summer 2025:

Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Interfaith Prayer Room Guidelines:

  • Open to Harper's faculty, staff and students.
  • Room reservations are not permitted.
  • Available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Food and beverages are not allowed in the space.
  • Flammable items such as candles, burning oils, sage, etc., are prohibited.
  • Do not leave items in the room after use.
  • Please keep all personal belongings with you.

Misuse of the Interfaith Room is not tolerated. All misconduct will be reported to the HARPER EARLY ALERT TEAM and/or Harper Police.

Special Space Designation Notice: Ramadan Mubarak

Evening of Friday, February 17, 2026 through Thursday, March 19, 2026, the Interfaith Prayer Room is designated exclusively for students, faculty and staff who observe Ramadan

Additionally, dates and water will be available in Student Engagement (Building A, Room A336) during Ramadan.

Passover Support

During Passover, enjoy free Matzah/Matzo bread for Jewish faculty, staff, and students! Bread will be available in the Student Engagement Lounge, the Cultural Center, and the Cafeteria in Building A.
