The Department of Campus Recreation is committed to enriching the quality of life for Harper students and the surrounding community by providing innovative, educational, and recreational opportunities and programs.
Membership to the Health and Recreation Center is available to Harper students, employees, and the surrounding community. The Health and Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art 135,000 square foot facility and is managed by the Department of Campus Recreation.
Summer (May 22 - August 23):
Monday–Thursday: 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday: 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
School Year (August 24 - May 23):
Monday–Thursday: 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday: 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Massage and napping chairs are open to students, faculty, staff, and Health and Recreation Center members and available to use in 30-minute increments at the Health and Recreation Center.
The chairs are designed to enhance blood flow and relieve tension in muscles by providing a gentle massage, which targets the neck to the glutes. Key features include:

The Foglia Foundation Health and Recreation Center (a partnership between Harper College, Endeavor Health (Northwest Community Healthcare) and Palatine Park District) is open.
