The Health and Recreation Center (Building M)
Membership to the Health and Recreation Center is available to Harper students, employees, and the surrounding community. The Health and Recreation Center is a new state-of-the-art 135,000 square foot facility and is managed by the Department of Campus Recreation. We are committed to enriching the quality of life of Harper students and the surrounding community by providing innovative, educational and recreational opportunities and programs.
Pool Closure: The pool is currently closed for annual preventative maintenance and will reopen on September 7.
Zumba with the President and the Provost
Bring on the fun and participate in Zumba with the President of Harper College on September 23.
This workout will be led by Dr. MaryAnn Janosik, Harper College’s Provost and certified Zumba instructor and will be held at the Foglia Foundation Health and Recreation Center located on the campus of Harper College. Zumba is a dance-based aerobic workout featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American, Hip Hop and Pop dance. This Zumba workout also features Latin American rhythms as we celebrate LatinX Heritage Month. Registration required.
Fall into Fitness: Free Fitness Assessments
Fitness assessments are used to collect baseline health data such as blood pressure, body fat, muscular endurance and posture. These assessments can then be used to develop fitness goals and training programs, and as comparison for future testing. Thursday, September 30, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Health and Recreation Center. Registration required.
