Harper College

Welcome Back, Hawks!

With a New Year and a brand new spring semester upon us here at Harper College, be sure to stop by our library to take advantage of the many resources available to you as students!

Some of the most popular options are the many study rooms on two floors, study rooms that will accommodate single students, small study groups, and large study groups alike. To book a room, stop by either desk at the library, give the library a call at 847.925.6584, or book a room online.

Also at the library, there are semester loan technology devices that are continually offered to help you with your studies (while supplies last)! These helpful resources come in the form of graphing calculators, mobile hotspots, and Chromebooks. To pick one up as a registered student, make sure to come by the library’s main desk with your student ID card or driver’s license/state ID. You’ll not regret being able to use these technology items during the semester.

Furthermore, there are many computers available to use at the library (on both floors), with the ability to print in both black & white and color. Please reach out to the friendly library staff if you have any questions regarding this. Have any questions about research or getting that paper or project done for class? The librarians at the main desk can help! Need books, movies, CDs, or even vinyls for personal enjoyment? The library has you covered as well!

Some of the additional offerings at the library are the newly highlighted cookbook section (near the DVDs, on the first floor of the library) and the “spotlight” section. These books (near the programming room) are featured books across both the fiction and the nonfiction genres that are spotlighted as “must reads” for students and community members. Look for the light blue color on the spine of these books!

Overall, we hope you all have a great spring semester! Remember that the library is here to help you to thrive and soar!
