Harper College

Workshops

If you are a student looking to attend a workshop, visit our Workshops page to find our current offerings.

If you are a faculty or staff member looking for a workshop for your group, we do offer options. While the Library addresses a variety of general and specific information literacy topics in our typical instruction sessions, we can also do more targeted workshops. Some examples of workshops we have conducted in the past:

  • Plagiarism (what it is, how to avoid it)
  • Citing in MLA Style for ESL Students
  • Citing in MLA Style in the Humanities
  • General Research Strategies
  • Using AI Ethically and Effectively

We have conducted workshops during class time by instructor request as well as during open/drop in sessions in the Library.

If you would like to schedule a workshop for your class, or if you have an idea for a new workshop you think would be valuable for your students, please email us at lrcrefdk@harpercollege.edu.
