Azure Database Administrator Associate

Harper College offers a program in Azure Database Administration that prepares students for a career as a Microsoft Azure database administrator. The program covers the skills and knowledge necessary to design, implement, manage, and secure Azure SQL databases. It is recommended that students have a basic understanding of relational database management systems. No prior experience with Azure is required.

Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) exam in Azure Database Administration. This exam is recognized by employers worldwide as a certification of skills and knowledge in Azure database administration.

Course description

Learn to implement and manage the operational aspects of cloud-native and hybrid data platform solutions built on Microsoft Azure data services and Microsoft SQL Server. Explore how to use a variety of methods and tools to perform day-to-day operations, including applying knowledge of T-SQL for administrative management purposes. Prepares individuals for Microsoft certification exam DP-300. Recommended: basic knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and its core functionality; working knowledge of relational databases.
