Harper College

Advanced Placement Program

The Advanced Placement Program is offered only in high school.

Credit and placement will be awarded to students with adequate Advanced Placement (AP) examination grades in areas comparable to the Harper curriculum. The granting of credit and/or advanced placement will be determined following the guidelines listed in the Credit by Examination chart.

Follow these steps for the Advanced Placement Program:

Step 1. Apply to the College.

Step 2. Acquire an official score report online through the AP website. If your score report needs to be sent through the mail, please have the report addressed to:

Harper College
Attn: Testing Center; Building A, Room A148
1200 W. Algonquin Rd.
Palatine, IL 60067

Step 3. Once the official score report is received by the College, course credits will automatically be applied based on the standards of the Advanced Placement Guidelines below. AP Exams, whether passed or not, do not affect a student's grade point average.
