Harper College's art collection contains more than 300 pieces and is valued at over $1 million. The College employs an art curator to ensure proper management and accessibility to the collection.
Each year, the national Small Works Exhibit showcases approximately 25 small works of art, chosen (from over 300 entries) by a juror. The exhibition is made possible through the support of the Foundation and provides an opportunity for Harper students to see a variety of art forms, from painting to mixed media, while calling attention to a cadre of national artists. Harper College performances have entertained thousands of people for more than 40 years. Programs in music speech and theatre have produced inspired graduates, many of whom have gone on to advance their education in the arts.
