Resource for Excellence Grants

The Harper College Educational Foundation provides internal funding opportunities to Harper faculty, staff, and administrators through the Resource for Excellence (RFE) program. This program is made possible through the generosity of employees and other donors.

All faculty, staff, and administrators are eligible to apply each year. Projects must align with one of more of the College's Strategic Goals:

  1. Core Values - Implementing practices that promote Harper's core values of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence.
  2. Equity - Building institutional capacity to support equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  3. Teaching and Learning - Implementing innovative and inclusive teaching and learning.
  4. Student Success - Identifying and removing barriers to student success.
  5. Partnerships - Advancing relationships among education, community, and workforce partners.
  6. Awareness and Outreach - Enhancing awareness of and access to Harper's programming, resources, events, and partnerships.

FY22 Grant Awards

RFE grant awards were announced on May 5, 2021. This year faculty and staff submitted five grant proposals. All five project teams delivered presentations to the RFE Committee via WebEx on April 20. Following the presentations, project teams fielded questions from the committee and then award recommendations were discussed. The Educational Foundation is proud to award $64,825 to these five projects. A brief overview of these new, innovative projects for FY22 can be found here.
