Graduation FAQs

Graduation regalia can be ordered online through Herff Jones. The cost of a gown is $26 plus tax. Gowns ordered after April 1 cannot be guaranteed to arrive in time for the ceremony.

Gowns must be ordered by April 1 to guarantee delivery for the ceremony. Graduates can still order gowns after April 1, but they may not arrive before the ceremony.

If you have not received the graduation regalia you ordered, please contact Herff Jones at 312.316.1876.

There are several ways to participate in graduation 2021!

Build your graduate profile: Your graduate profile is the place you can upload a photo of yourself in cap and gown, upload a video and take a moment to reflect on your time at Harper. It’s also a place where your friends and family can come to leave you well wishes. You can build your graduation profile by logging in to your MyHarper Portal and clicking on the link in the graduation announcement.

Order your regalia and decorate your cap: Just because we’re apart doesn’t mean you shouldn’t celebrate with all the pomp and circumstance. You can order your cap and gown. Decorate your cap and share it with us at harpergrad@harpercollege.edu or tag @harpercollege on social media. Your caps may be shared online.

Join the Graduate Board and Brush Party: Participants at this free graduate event will choose from one of six designs, with all supplies mailed to your home. Then we'll all meet online and paint together. Reservations are required, and supplies are limited. Register online. Registration closes when supplies have all been reserved or on April 9. The painting party takes place Wednesday, May 5 at 1 p.m. Participants will receive the WebEx link via email before the event.

Watch the ceremony live: Beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 22 you can watch the entire ceremony with us by visiting the graduation website. We’ll also be hosting a watch party on Facebook directly after the live streaming.

Can’t watch the ceremony live? You can also view portions of the ceremony that you’re interested in. They will be available on the graduation page beginning on Saturday, May 22.
