Cultural Center Opening Week

Presented by Harper College’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Join us as we celebrate the opening of Harper College’s Cultural Center! There are a range of educational and social programs planned throughout the week. All events are free and held in person, on campus at the Cultural Center, Building D, Room D281 (above Starbucks).

Monday, November 15

Student Unity Board and Brush Workshop

Times: 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. (two sessions)

Who should attend: Students. RSVP required.

Tuesday, November 16

Safe Zone Training

Time: Noon to 3 p.m. 

Who should attend: Faculty and staff. Limited to 20 participants. RSVP required.

Wednesday, November 17

Diverse Author Series: Dr. Micere Keels

Time: Noon to 1 p.m.

Who should attend: Students, faculty and staff. RSVP required.


Thursday, November 18

Cultural Center Grand Opening

The official opening of the Cultural Center includes remarks from Vice President Dr. Tamara Johnson, President Dr. Avis Proctor, representatives from our Employee Resource Groups and student organizations. We invite Harper students, staff and faculty to join us! Refreshments provided.

Time: Noon to 1 p.m.
