The spring semester is devoted to the production of the Fashion Show, which is the most important marketing tool of the industry. All students earning a certificate or associate degree in fashion design or merchandising are required to participate in the fashion show production.
Local high school students can also participate in the Fashion Show through the Harper Challenge program. If you would like more information about Harper Challenge, please contact
Lucinda McDonald at ml04156@harpercollege.edu or (847) 925-6342.
The theme of the 2024 Fashion Show is “WORN, TORN, REBORN – a memoir” and focuses
on sustainability. Students are challenged to reduce the fashion footprint by repurposing
materials that otherwise would have been destined for the landfill. Come see the innovative
ways Harper students incorporate elements of renewal, sustainability, and storytelling
into their designs.
The fashion show will be produced by the Fashion Merchandising students as a capstone
project for “Promotion of Fashion” class.
