Careers in Maintenance Technology

Maintenance and repair workers are responsible for keeping machinery, equipment, and buildings in good working order. They may perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil or checking fluid levels, or they may be tasked with diagnosing and repairing complex issues.

Maintenance and repair workers must have the ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as the ability to use a variety of tools and machines. They must also have strong analytical and critical thinking skills in order to identify problems and develop solutions.

In some cases, they may also be responsible for ordering parts and supplies, or for applying primers and paint.

Maintenance and repair workers play an important role in ensuring that schools, public buildings, corporate offices, and other structures remain in good condition.
