Using Data to Ensure Success
As an important step in the process of developing Harper’s next strategic plan, the College held four Data Summits. The summits provided participants with the opportunity to review and provide insights on current data about Harper students and employees as well as the broader community we serve.
Each summit was identical. Data reviewed focused on employees, students, the community and businesses/employers.
The Data Summits were held in a World Café format. This means there was a variety of tables (16), each set up with a different topic/data point and discussion questions. Participants spent time at up to five tables of their choosing reviewing the data and engaging in discussion. Additionally, participants recorded thoughts, feelings and reactions on the paper tablecloths.
