The Grade Forgiveness Policy allows a cumulative grade point average to be computed without the inclusion of certain previously earned F grades.
Harper College certifies graduates three times a year in May, August and December. Students must submit the Application for Degree or Certificate Completion no later than one week after the mid-term of the semester in which the student intends to receive a degree or certificate.

The maximum load that a student in good standing can carry is 18 credit hours during the fall and spring terms and 9 hours in summer. Under certain circumstances a student may receive permission to carry a heavier load. Loads of 19 credit hours can be approved by the Coordinator of Registration. Loads of 20 hours or more must be approved by the Registrar. Submit the Request for Overload form. You will be notified once the decision is made.
A student who feels they have extenuating circumstances that would permit the issuance of late withdrawal for a course may apply for relief, by submitting the Registration Appeal Form.

Students enrolling at Harper are classified as Resident, Non-Resident, Out-of-State or International for tuition and fee purposes.
The Testing Center services include Testing for course placement in reading, writing, math geometry and world languages; CLEP, AP and proctored exams.
