Personal Statement
Every student is an individual with unique skills, needs and dreams. If those students
and I can work collaboratively to develop those things to their fullest, we can both
succeed. The classroom needs to be a place where students are comfortable enough to
explore both what they can do and what they have difficulty doing. It is my job, along
with the other students, to encourage them, help them and push them as necessary to
achieve their goals.

Personal Statement
There is a unique opportunity at the community college level to be an important link
in a lifetime of learning for interested individuals. Ultimately, what makes that
link strong is good people; faculty members who are technically exceptional and professionally
current. Most importantly, they are people able to transfer experience and expertise
in a way that is both understandable and challenging to the student.
