Governors State Dual Degree Program (DDP)

The Dual Degree Program (DDP) is a unique partnership between Governors State University and Harper College. The DDP provides full-time Harper students with an excellent pathway to earn both an associate and bachelor's degree, at a fraction of the cost.

Through this partnership with Harper College, you can earn your Bachelor's degree from Governors State University and benefit from:

  • Guaranteed admission to Governors State University (GSU)
  • Waived application fee

  • Locked in GSU tuition rate, effective the semester you join the DDP

  • Access to two different full-tuition scholarships

  • An assigned DDP Transfer Specialist will help you with a personalized education plan to complete your associate and bachelor's degrees in the shortest possible time frame

You are eligible for the DDP if:

 •You are a full-time student at Harper College.

 •You have successfully completed a minimum of 12 and maximum of 45 credit hours and you are in good academic standing-that is, you are not on academic probation.

The requirements are quite simple, but very important:

 •You must continue to enroll at Harper College full-time. DDP students have five semesters (plus summers) to complete their associate degree.

 •You must communicate with a DDP Transfer Specialist at least once per semester to be sure you stay on track

 •You must attend a DDP Orientation on campus at GSU

 •You must complete your associate degree
