Harper College’s commitment to protecting the community will continue in a big way next week with a COVID-19 vaccine clinic and a chance to win one of up to 10 scholarships for an entire year of tuition, fees and books.

The scholarship drawing is open to ANY individual (including community members) who receives at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on or before July 14, 2021. Enter online here. For those not yet vaccinated, Harper is holding a pop-up clinic from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, at the Foglia Foundation Health and Recreation Center (Building M).

"Encouraging as many people as possible to get vaccinated and enhancing accessibility to vaccines through on-campus clinics underscore our continued commitment to health and safety," said Dr. Avis Proctor, president of Harper College. "Getting vaccinated is one of the most critical things we can do to save lives, get closer to the end of the pandemic and help rebuild our vibrant campus community."

Each one-year scholarship to be awarded covers tuition for up to 30 credit hours, fees and books. It is valid for the fall 2021, spring 2022 and summer 2022 terms.

In addition, the first 200 Harper students who get vaccinated at the July 14 on-campus clinic will automatically receive a $100 HarperStore (bookstore) gift card and a $50 Sodexo (campus dining) gift card.

The July 14 vaccine clinic – the second pop-up clinic that Harper has held in partnership with Cook County Government, Cook County Health and Cook County Department of Public Health – is open to all students, employees and community members, regardless of insurance or immigration status.

Walk-ins are welcome. If you prefer to make an appointment, visit Cook County Health or call 312.864.0591.
