Harper College

Research Appointments

Research appointments are conducted online via video chat. Appointments are 20 minutes long and are available during the following periods.

Mondays thru Thursdays, 8:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
Fridays, 8:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Saturdays, 10:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Sunday, 2–4:30 p.m.

*Hours may vary during summer semester*

Appointments will be via Webex. Text-only chat is also available by request.

Please note: If you have made an appointment (using the button below) a Harper librarian will send you a link to the video chat. Please be ready and at your appointment time. If you do not have an appointment, you can still chat with a librarian 24/7, although when the Library is closed you will be chatting with a librarian at one of our partner schools. We look forward to hearing from you!

Research appointments are first and foremost an opportunity for learning. After meeting with a librarian, we want you to be able to:

  • Use tools or resources to find more relevant information on your own.
  • Identify ways to get help from the library in the future.
  • Express greater confidence in your ability to locate, evaluate, use, or document sources effectively.

Questions about how to make an appointment? This video will walk you through the process!
