Research Appointments

Research appointments are conducted online via video chat. Appointments are 20 minutes long and are available during the following periods.

Mondays thru Thursdays, 8:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
Fridays, 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Saturdays, 10:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Sunday, 2–4:30 p.m.

*Hours may vary during summer semester*

Appointments will be via Webex. Text-only chat is also available by request.

Please note: If you have made an appointment (using the button below) a Harper librarian will send you a link to the video chat. Please be ready and at your appointment time. If you do not have an appointment, you can still chat with a librarian 24/7, although when the Library is closed you will be chatting with a librarian at one of our partner schools. We look forward to hearing from you!

Research appointments are first and foremost an opportunity for learning. After meeting with a librarian, we want you to be able to:

Use tools or resources to find more relevant information on your own.
Identify ways to get help from the library in the future.
Express greater confidence in your ability to locate, evaluate, use, or document sources effectively.
