Info breakfasts to offer employers a look at apprenticeships

The industry specific breakfasts are scheduled for:

Wednesday, March 6: Sales and Retail Management
Tuesday, March 12: Graphic Arts Print Production
Thursday, March 14: Supply Chain Management and Logistics
Tuesday, March 26: Advanced Manufacturing, with lab tour

All sessions will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Wojcik Conference Center, Room W218, at Harper College, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.

Harper’s registered apprenticeship programs are unique, flexible instruction programs combining job-related credit courses with structured on-the-job learning experiences. They can help companies improve their strategy for hiring a skilled workforce; fill in a skills gap; increase employee loyalty and reduce turnover; diversify the workforce; reduce recruiting costs; and ensure knowledge of seasoned employees is passed down before they retire.
