Gone Girl – Book Review

Gone Girl - Book Cover“There’s something disturbing about recalling a warm memory and feeling utterly cold”

Nick and Amy seem to be the perfect couple yet they are far from a perfect marriage. The night of their fifth wedding anniversary should be something to celebrate. Yet, Amy is nowhere to be found. In her place are presents and clues that all point to Nick killing Amy. Although Nick doesn’t cooperate with the police and struggles to be of use and do the right thing, he claims that he is innocent. The problem is: if Nick really is innocent, where is Amy? And why did she disappear?

If you are a fan of unreliable narrators and constant suspense, this novel is definitely for you. This is a novel you want to read carefully, paying attention to any and all details. Just when you think you know something, you’re wrong.

Check it out! Gone Girl was also made into a movie in 2015 starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, which you can find in the Movie Kiosk.
