As our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the campus shooting at Umpqua
Community College and their loved ones, I would ask that you join community colleges
across the country and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and participate
in a National Moment of Silence on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 1 p.m. to honor and
support our fellow faculty, staff and students at UCC.
In this way, we can express our thoughts to the UCC community as they begin the process
of healing and recovery from this tragic incident. You can also share your thoughts
via social media using the #IamUCC hashtag.
