Big Swim Challenge
Attention lap swimmers!
Compete against your fellow swimmers in this friendly competition during the month
of April. Keep track of your laps every time you swim (any stroke) and the top 20
with the highest number of laps at the end of the challenge will win a prize. Sign
up on the pool deck at the Rec Center April 1 through April 30.
Details for the Big Swim Challenge
- The tracking sheet is located on a clipboard on the pool deck at the Rec Center from
Monday April 1 through Tuesday, April 30.
- Please be sure to write your information clearly.
- Each time you swim, record the number of laps (Laps = 2 x 25 yards or 50 yards) on
the Big Swim Challenge tracking sheet.
- Please keep your laps to a 1 hour time limit per day. Any laps completed outside of
this time frame should not be counted
- Lap counting is on an honor system.
- It is not the duty of the pool staff to count the participants laps.
- Any type of stroke or technique can be counted.
- Water walking is not included.
- Results will be totaled weekly and the top 20 will be posted on the back of the clip
board.
- At the end of the month, the results will be totalled and the top 20 participants
will win a prize.
- Winners will be contacted via email.
When beginning any exercise program, check with your physician first. Participants
should listen to their bodies, work at their own pace and cease any exercise that
causes pain or discomfort. By performing any of the suggested exercises, you are performing
them at your own risk and Harper College will not be responsible or liable for any
injury.
