Campus Recreation offers a variety of group exercise classes FREE for Harper students and Health and Recreation Center members! Our classes are led by certified group exercise instructors with expertise in providing motivating, challenging and fun group exercises classes to a wide range of populations. Formats include Functional Strength, Yoga, Power Hour, Total Body Barre and Flex & Ride and more.
Harper students, activate your membership and utilize any area in the Rec Center 20 times between September 15 and November 23 and your name will be entered into a drawing to win an Apple iPad. All participants who achieve the 20 visits will become a “Rec Center All Star” and will receive an official Rec Center G.O.A.T. shaker bottle. The top 3 students and the top 3 student athletes who exceed the 20 visits during the challenge will receive an official Rec Center G.O.A.T. shaker bottle and a Rec Center hoodie.

Harper College has joined the Illinois Community College Board’s Feed the Need Food Drive. The Feed the Need Food Drive aims to support those experiencing food insecurity within our communities and on Harper’s campus. Donations will help stock the campus pantry at the Hawks Care Resource Center. Please drop items in the bin located in the lobby of the rec Cetneter (Building M).
Intramural (IM) sport leagues are a fun and social way to stay active, meet others and build a community in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment. Registration is required. Must be eighteen years or older with a valid I.D. Nonmembers may purchase a single-entry pass on the day of the event.
Step-up your game in our 5-week pickleball league led by former athletic director, now pickleball professional, Doug Spiwak. Leagues provide a structured weekly match play for the casual and competitive player and are a great way to stay active, improve skills, and connect with others. This league runs on Wednesdays from November 12 to December 17 (no league on11/26) from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Cost for Rec Center members is $50, non-member cost is $75.
Gratitude Yoga provides an inviting environment to genuinely connect and graciously remind ourselves of what we are grateful for. Yoga utilizes synchronized poses and breath work that enhance circulation, flexibility, balance and inner calm. All levels are welcome. These events are free to Harper students and Health and Recreation Center members. Nonmembers may purchase a single-entry pass on the day of the event. Must be eighteen years or older to participate.
Scheduled recreation is a fun and social way to stay active, meet others, and build a community. Join us for badminton, basketball or pickleball to sharpen your skills while staying active and engaged.
Students from the Harper College Massage Therapy program will provide free seated chair massages in the lobby of the Rec Center (Building M) that include massaging the back, neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. Clients often report feeling relaxed but also energized afterward. No appointments necessary - first come, first served. Clients should wear comfortable clothing and will remain clothed during their session.
