    Rudy – Movie Review

As it is the 25th anniversary since the original release of the movie “Rudy” in 1993, I figured it would be an excellent time to write a blog piece on the film. The great thing about this movie is that whether you are a football fan, or not, there is an inspiration that can be gleaned from the film. Also, it doesn’t matter if you are a fan of Notre Dame football or not (although it helps to be a fan) for you to enjoy the storyline in the movie “Rudy.” The movie follows the story of Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger, an undersized football player and less than a gifted student who one day dreams of being accepted to the University of Notre Dame, and then walking on the football team there. Paper Towns – Book Review

“Margo always loved mysteries. And in everything that came afterward, I could never stop thinking that maybe she loved mysteries so much that she became one.” If you haven’t picked up Paper Towns yet, today is the day! To start off, Quentin Jacobs is an average guy. He does what he’s told and… that’s about it. He’s got his best friends, Bloody Ben and Radar, and he’s content. Until he meets Margo Roth Spiegelman. He’s loved her since she moved onto his street but never had the nerve to talk to her. So imagine how great Q feels when she asks him, and only him, to accompany her on a spy like a mission to seek revenge on all those who wronged her. Read More

    Gone Girl – Book Review

“There’s something disturbing about recalling a warm memory and feeling utterly cold” Nick and Amy seem to be the perfect couple yet they are far from a perfect marriage. The night of their fifth wedding anniversary should be something to celebrate. Yet, Amy is nowhere to be found. In her place are presents and clues that all point to Nick killing Amy. Although Nick doesn’t cooperate with the police and struggles to be of use and do the right thing, he claims that he is innocent. The problem is: if Nick really is innocent, where is Amy? And why did she disappear? Read More
